Are you white?
In the gada da vita is his only good song
are you not?
Actually he’s up there with Dylan as one of the only rock musicians worth listening to. Also the only musician with a 9.0 from Scaruffi, an A+ from Christgau, and a 10.0 from Pitchfork
I am and I'm a lifelong Van fan. Just curious about op
I'm extremely white
WAOW!?!?! Scaruffi, Christgau, AND Pitchfork?? Gosh, I guess I was wrong about him all along
Brown eyed girl is fantastic and nobody can change my mind. Especially not some dindu loving zoomie.
Yeah, you sound like a spastic favor with no friends. Can’t imagine anyone people would like having an autistic outburst over a tidbit about a musician’s critical reception. Sorry, go outside once and maybe you’ll change; Have sex, even.
>you sound like a spastic favor with no friends
then why don't you be his friend you jerk
I’d have to be assured he isn’t going to have any more outbursts. I don’t want to be embarrassed in front of people I know, or in public.

Just a poor man's Tim Buckley innit?
>not throwing Ring Worm on at a party at 1am

Tim Buckley has approximately two songs in his entire discography which would make it onto Astral Weeks or Moondance, and it’s “I Had a Talk With My Woman” and “Song to the Siren” (the non-Starsailor version, which is ruined by Buckley’s masturbatory voice)
Astral Weeks is nothing special. It's a pretty average album with some good tracks, but very weak ones. Doesn't come close to anything by Tim Buckley who had a sequence of god tier after god tier albums.
Never listened to Moondance.
Buzzin' Fly, Hallucinations, Pleasant Street, Phantasmagoria in Two
Buckley only had 3 albums that go into greatness, rest of his discography is actually bad.
Van Morrison from 68-78 is a very strong period
Tim Buckley is actually the mediocre one, uses his impressive vocal ability as such a crutch. The actual songwriting is severely lacking. Besides, apples to oranges. Van Morrison falls more into the Bob Dylan category of songwriting. Tim Buckley did not give a shit about lyricism, offhanded all his songs (besides Lorca) onto his D-level beat poet friend, and said he wishes he could sing without having to use words. Albums like Blue Afternoon approach muzak
Meh he’s no Dylan
I like all these songs but they would never make it onto those albums. They don’t have the lyrical depth
Make sense. I'm an empathy-let so I don't give a shit about van morrison's lyricism, Tim Buckley's jaded style reminds me of Bladee, pretty based
