Ewing all the characters in the covers were staying in the team, but I do wonder how that's going to work with Phyla and her, probably just put them in separate teams until they can patch their relationship. Seems that way, I've seen some of the preview pages by Gomez and it looks like they find her washed over in the sea, which implies she's still an alien but not the same way as her solo book, probably closer to the Utopian Parallel original idea.

Before he would set AMAZING SPIDER-MAN on the path to comics glory, master storyteller Roger Stern did a spectacular job on Spidey's sister title! Producing a run of the wall-crawler's most memorable tales, Stern introduced a host of new and compelling characters -- including the gangster Belladonna and a new love interest for Aunt May, Nathan Lubensky -- and reinvigorated the Prowler and White Tiger. But don't worry, Stern left room to spare for iconic enemies! The Vulture returns -- and he's brought his evil nephew Malachi with him! And another veteran of the Sinister Six, Mysterio, is up to no good, in league with a gang of Spider-Man's oldest villains! This Masterworks volume also includes a double-sized showdown with the man called Rapier! Collecting SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN (1976) #43-55 and ANNUAL #2.

Goddamn it, they're releasing Marvel 2-in-1 as a hardcover, had I known I wouldn't have gotten the trades. Also is it me or they've sped up the release of the Immortal Hulk Vol.4 HC? I wouldn't have expected it until next year.

nope. try again. you know what was terrible? the post avx and pre-house of era.
Parker Roberts
Oh shit, Skaar is definitely coming back
Nathan Flores
kino
Brayden Cruz
YES I WOULD LOVE IT
Logan Kelly
And IvX, and Rosenberg's Uncanny X-Men... I've never really been much into X-Men but this is the only time I've been actively following the books instead of glossing over them and skipping them entirely.
Carter Phillips
>Skaar is definitely coming back I thought Ewing said he wasn't gonna touch him?
Grayson Peterson
>And IvX, and Rosenberg's Uncanny X-Men... maybe I didn't make myself clear, the whole post-avx and the pre-house of x era. so yeah, that includes these poopsticks as well
Jeremiah Perez
so april and may are going to be slightly boring. maybe june will be better, but I doubt. this week had some good comics, and march looks proper but april and may? basically two skip months
Eli Rogers
Wasn't there already a Heroes Reborn? Shouldn't it be Heroes Reborn 2?
Kevin White
...
Jack Sanders
Forgot include > X-CORP #1 (OF 5)
Jaxon Bennett
He did, yeah. It's curious though, the solicitations do hint at a massive team-up and if The Leader managed to tap into all those Green Doors at once, they could all ostensibly come back as well.
Nathan Miller
Because that's literally the only selling point so they want you to subscribe before you learn its a bunch of literal whos.
Grayson Williams
According to Rich the Leech, that David Vaughan might be BKV's brother.
Series length wasn't announced in the full reveal
Daniel Stewart
Yeah, but he eventually caves like with bringing in the Leader
Landon Turner
only 5 issues? too bad
Christopher Cooper
Brian Vaughan has a brother?
Caleb Thomas
He could also just avoid spoiling things on Twitter, because people do tend to ask too much about upcoming developments.
Cameron Sullivan
When is the next creative team on Venom going to be announced?
>if The Leader managed to tap into all those Green Doors at once, they could all ostensibly come back as well. It's not out of the question, especially now that he's the avatar of TOBA. As far as I know he never said he wasn't going to use the Leader. Though it is fair to say that he could have simply changed his mind
Levi Reed
This has got to end soon. Its gone for too long and ran out of steam when they got the base.
As user posted in another thread, I love the use of Spider-Man vs Superman poses.
Joshua Martin
No Defenders. Likely pushed back to June.
Nolan Cook
You should read yesterday's Marauders to see how Krakoa is spending the wealth it is accruing. They're literally doing the opposite of taking it from the poor and disenfranchised.
Chase Gonzalez
Source?
Lincoln Morales
Marvel sometimes excludes series from solicitations, they might announce it in a week or so, I think they did the same with Ewing's S.W.O.R.D. not long ago
Logan Morales
It's enjoyed outside of Dab Forums.
Josiah Brown
Joe Bennett's ass
>what are Diamond hidden order codes
Chase Miller
This is also true, after all they haven't even said who's gonna write, even though it seems rather obvious it's gonna be Ewing.
Luke Jackson
interviews with ewing. find them yourself
Austin Watson
What are Diamond hidden order codes?
Elijah Williams
Getting mixed signals here.
Zachary Kelly
Joe Bennett Twiter account, formerely Joe Bennett's ass
Brayden Moore
Bennett said it, but maybe Bennett might end up getting the boot after all once #50 gets there. Who knows. I'll say though, it's curious how they're releasing the Immortal Hulk Vol.4 HC in May, when the issue #43 barely just came out and Vol.3 will be released on April 28th. Way too close together, which might signal its ending.
Eli Collins
There's no such interview, Ewing never said it was ending in #50 nor hinted at it. He said that when it's close to its end, he'll make it obvious.
Colton Carter
>Immortal Hulk Vol.4 HC in September ftfy retard
Parker Collins
Thanks for the gratuitous insult, asshole. I didn't see the date, I got confused with the solicitations from May, and it's still too early anyway, barely 5 months after Vol.3.
Sebastian Harris
But miles can't fly.
Would it better if he was a blue marvel sidekick?
Christian Stewart
Storm's going to space
Carter Rodriguez
well hells bells I thought this was dead. Did Dark Horse have to fork everything over after #2?
Anthony Price
>life story nice!
Landon Robinson
>Ultron How can Ultron be a thing when the Avengers doesn't exist? it was a Dragon Man fight that inspired Pym to create him.
Logan Mitchell
WTF? Wasn't Reptil killed at the end of Avengers Arena? When did he came back?
Carter Perez
So the only thing left to address before going back to Kindred/the presumed endgame of the run is the Chameleon/Teresa plot right?
Asher Torres
I don't know why they aren't just doing an omnibus. Generation Next and the early issues get collected like once a decade but rarely anything beyond that.
Julian Price
>Terry Blas is a man of many hyphenates. His Twitter profile describes him as a "Mexican-American-Ex-Mormon- Queer-Author-Illustrator." Marvel doing the "of course we have to assign a gay latino to write a gay latino" thing.
Alexander Foster
I think I give up on Marauders and Wolverine. Not sure I care anymore.
Michael Martinez
Awesome
Luke Perry
I think in general you could say eventually somebody would have had the same idea and resources and came to the same conclusion to create ultron.
Leo Edwards
that hawkeye/trickshot(?) design is actually pretty baller.
Brody Rodriguez
This is a surprise
Carter Fisher
Not sure about Marauders anymore but Wolverine is very skippable, I still don't get the point of the solo series if he's active on X-Force. Its #1 was the best selling X-Book so whatever.
Zachary Mitchell
Good
Dominic Green
Glad this is still going
Ryder Carter
>We thought they were dead. We thought they'd been banished, controlled, made harmless. We were wrong Probably talking about the Hulks that got their powers removed by Doc Green
Liam Morales
>But why is the Daywalker Blade the one man alive who seems to remember that the entire world has somehow been...reborn?
HOUSE OF M REBORN
Ryder Anderson
They are Thor’s kids
Leo Gray
>Conan and his yellow fever
Owen Rogers
Marauders has been atrocious almost since its inception, but the hellfire gala will have lots of Emma.
James Campbell
Nice
Adrian Cox
Another kino Life Story and by a good writer! really how they don't ruin the Avengers and X-Men ones.
John Bell
They are already calling MCU Valkyrie as if she were the main one
Because soon Jane will be a Thor again...
Adam Lee
hmm, neat. Can't believe the main series is 7 issues though. At least it's being released rapidly.
Juan Rivera
Berto ain't gay, hermano. He put the moves on Finesse, White Tiger and Spider-Girl. In a future depicted in Academy, he and Finesse were married and had a daughter.
Colton Smith
>5 issues damn
Nicholas Lopez
It was left ambiguous.
John Myers
His end in that book was ambiguous. The last he's seen, SHIELD agents recover his body from the lake, there was even a thumbs up. I think he was seen in like some kinda 'bacta tank's type healing chber. Then Bendis of all people included him in a couple panels of his Iron Man book.
Kayden Rivera
No S.W.O.R.D.?
Blake James
>iron man just skips an issue and isn't cancelled fully aaaaaaaaah, shit, I had hope for a second
I hope this new arc can bring me back in, cause lord knows I got really fucking sick of Last Remains.
Nicholas Roberts
no one has ever given a shit about Avril Quasar
Asher Young
Fuck off, ESL.
Brayden Brooks
Oh that's right, I was thinking of Striker, my mistake.
Kevin Wright
Ok, what is going on with the new costume? Are they ashamed of it?
Lincoln Powell
the cover reminds me of wildcats 3.0 but man Tini Howard is so bad
Grayson Walker
So it's an event published weekly?
Lucas Campbell
>Marrow is in
Nice
Alexander Jackson
>especially with the unexpected help of the X-MEN'S resident sorceress MAGIK and her debuting team of monstrous mutants known as THE DARK RIDERS! I still think that this is a teaser for an upcoming X-Book.
The main book's only 7 issues? I thought they were usually 10 or so? Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining if this shit event is shorter than usual.
Nicholas Robinson
>Positive: Crystal might finally return to a more classic look instead of remaining stuck with the short hair from five years ago >Negative: Is she going to be Doom's wife?
>David Vaughan Who the hell is that? I can't get a single result on Google other than some soccer player.
Elijah Lopez
BKV's brother.
Robert Thomas
In the main book's defense, it seems like it's starting to address some of the plots it set up. It's still dumb that Hickman didn't learn to address plots he set up earlier, since it was a serious problem with his other works. But at least we should be going somewhere soon.
Cameron Russell
Well yeah, we're finally addressing the Vault plotline as well as Nimrod's, but jumping from one story to another makes it look like a backup for a book that doesn't exist, sorta like how his FF was to Fantastic Four. I fact it's a similar structure, but there's no "Uncanny" to work with.
Alexander Stewart
Tell it to Iceman, Speed and Alan Scott.
Noah Edwards
He has a brother? Wait why the hell is he writing for Marvel already when he has no previous work? Fucking nepotism.
William Ortiz
>It's still dumb that Hickman didn't learn to address plots he set up earlier, since it was a serious problem with his other works. And then there's his past history of spending a long time setting things up but failing to stick the landing on all of his earlier Marvel works. People are being wildly optimistic if they think things will be different this time.
Gabriel James
>People are being wildly optimistic if they think things will be different this time. This time he has a whole X-Office behind him, so there's a chance to bounce off ideas and to find the right way to implement it. Sure enough, X of Swords was messy around the middle, but he stuck the landing. I am optimistic he will this time.
Angel White
Feels like a forced book. Not excited to read a non-comedy/satire from Russell.
Anthony Diaz
why doesn't Aaron just go work for DC already. Fuck this shit.
Sebastian Flores
I think this is more in Tini's style of writing than her other work. If she can pull off some boardroom meeting I'm in, I'm hoping she pulls something off like Largo Winch
Now that I see the covers, I'm starting to believe the suit is meant to either safely channel the tablet of life & destiny's power or, more likely, contain under control since getting rid of it longterm never worked so far. Since Fisk has both tablets in king's ransom, it's no use for the moment.
>LOKI: AGENT OF ASGARD - THE COMPLETE COLLECTION TPB (NEW PRINTING) I need to make sure I get it this time before it's OOP, it disappeared quickly last time.
William Phillips
one-shot
Dominic Sanders
because they always release Epic's first, Omni's are usually based on the Epic line. Hoping for an omni in a year or two
Interesting. From what I can tell this leaves 12 issues of Marvel Kull uncollected. A rather small number for a second omni. Which leaves a few options. 1. There's a ton more material I don't know of in Conan issues to flesh out an omni. 2. They'll collect those 12 issues with the three Dark Horse minis in one Omni, despite previously keeping both companies works separate. 3. They'll say fuck it and do a 12 issue omni. 4. They have no plans to collect that remaining material.
Julian Moore
who's mind would it be based on, because it has to be someone with mental illness
Chase Jackson
I'm still eternally salty it's not the real Phyla. I can't even bring myself to really care
Camden Richardson
They're going to just demolish the original Conan run before they make a solid dent in the Savage Sword stuff. I guess they can do the graphic novels as an omni, they seem to be mostly leaving those to the side for now.
And... the 90s minis. I've only looked at the covers of those online, but they look rough. Conan did not fair well with EXREME 90s stylings.
Gavin Powell
>This alt world Black Widow has a better version of her new current outfit How do you fuck up giving a character a new look that hard, also that Hawkeye look is sick, just change the red to purple, hope it comes back with him to 616
Brandon Jackson
>* As half the team defends the Kree/Skrull Throneworld against a deadlier threat than they've ever faced before... I guess it really is the Progenitors. Feels odd that none of the krees on the team went to the fight.
Zub is very into DnD and Conan, so I'm not surprised his book is better as well.
Luis Martin
I wonder if they're hated on Krakoa. Considering the way the mutants treat their powers and costumes as "culture" wouldn't copying them be considered "cultural appropriation" hell wouldn't super hero costumes in general be seen like that by mutants
Hudson James
>Iron Man is skipping due to change of regular artist But the art was the only good thing about that comic.
Levi Butler
>They have no plans to collect that remaining material. So what you're saying is, KULL ISN'T COMING?
Jonathan Sanchez
Reminder that this is gonna be the earliest in-canon that TOBA has appeared. (even though he obviously likely has existed well before the omniverse)
Julian Morales
where's Deadpool
Gavin Collins
Canceled
Angel Long
so who posts these solicitations? some random user? or market researchers
Hudson Davis
Market researchers wouldn't bother with this board
Jayden Reyes
They don't post these threads, but Dab Forums is one of the few remaining comic forums with a sizeable userbase, don't believe researchers and paid shills wouldn't come here.
Robert Johnson
>Black Knight >Valkyrie >Ms America >Shang-Chi And other heroes you don't give a shit about but they're getting movies so fuck you!
Jackson Diaz
>market researchers Stop with this shit, Dab Forums doesn't have as much reach as it used to a decade ago. These solicits are sent to news outlets with far wider reach, and land on reviewers' inboxes the day they decide to go public with them. Marvel itself doesn't bother to post them.
Jonathan Cook
Is there any hint of a new creative team? Deadpool is the only Marvel character I like
Charles Watson
i love you pepe
Julian Miller
Who is the Jewish woman?
Mason Perry
Sabra
Isaac Nelson
The problem I have with Epics is that they don't necessarily release in order. They might do 1 and 2 and then skip to 5 or some shit. The Classic line did do things in order but of course Marvel ended that line and I don't think their Generation X Classic ever got beyond like volume 2 or 3.
Ayden Morris
At least it doesn't seem that nerf'd Gomez too hard
Big brain theory: it’s an interlude issue and the new suit’s being worn by Otto
Leo Cruz
>A WORLD WITHOUT AVENGERS! Welcome to a world where Tony Stark never built an Iron Man armor. Where Thor is a hard-drinking atheist who despises hammers. Where Wakanda is dismissed as a myth. And where Captain America was never found in the ice because there were no Avengers to find him. Instead this world has always been protected by Earth's Mightiest Heroes, the Squadron Supreme of America. This somehow sounds more retarded than the Loeb and Liefeld Heroes Reborn Avengers.
wow can't wait to see peter get easily beaten up by women for the 500 time I wonder which female character is going to have to rescue this issue and how often he gets stripped down to his underwear while every female character is fully covered up and censored
Nathan King
why is it ok to constantly seuxallize male characters but female characters all have to be censored and are not allowed to be depicted with cleavage anymore?
Jack King
wow literally every single female character has had her cleavage censored now black cat, storm, frost, but tons of covers with shritless dudes super sexist
Christian Garcia
Fuck off spammer
Andrew Gonzalez
>Outlawed is still happening >New New Warriors is nowhere to be seen
Grayson Ross
>GENE LUEN YANG (W) Nice
Chase James
It's the 25th anniversary of Heroes Reborn, which sold very well for Marvel, and the reprints are consistent sellers, so it's not that surprising that they'd do something to celebrate it. It's the 25th anniversary of Onslaught, too.
Celebrating 25 years of Heroes Reborn by doing "Just imagine Jason Aaron creating the Infinity Warps event from 2018" is nobody's idea of a good plan though. The way to celebrate it is to take some low-selling characters and hire top-tier talent to relaunch them.
Noah Gonzalez
Yeah. Regular users definitely post these here, since there are a ton of people who look into it. But we do get quite a few authors visiting. Leah Williams and Dan Slott are known lurkers.
I bet Magneto flies by their house every day just to shit on them and say he hates them. But they're all such huge fans of mutants that they think it's an honor and meant to be a lesson in disguise.
Jason Evans
>But they're all such huge fans of mutants that they think it's an honor and meant to be a lesson in disguise. I mean it would be an honor to get one of the worlds biggest racists to target you, that means you're in the big leagues now
Mason Phillips
Random Anons post solicits that's how it's been forever
Chase Morales
Whenever I get to post I make sure to put Carol's comic first.
So Johnny is gonna bite it in issue #4 aka the 00s if its following the same path as Zdarsky ie taking elements from each decade in both real life and comics
Jackson Wright
That'd be #5 Johnny dies in the 00s then since the F4 is no more, the Future Foundation is founded in the 10s Id guess
James Morris
so it's gonna end with Franklin and Val running the Future Foundation probably
unless they go all the way and have Franklin at the end of time
Carter Torres
Dont put that evil on us. We already have Bendis.
Josiah Edwards
Oh this sounds fun.
Eli Campbell
The order of biting it will probably Johnny, Reed, Sue, Ben, Val and Franklin is alive at the end
Ayden Garcia
So Shang is just going to keep getting new minis, cool.
Jack Sanders
Why do they keep trying to push this? No one wants Jane Foster around, and they sure as he'll don't want a shotty synergy valkyrie.
Brody Garcia
Honestly one of the only marvel things that I'm looking forward to.
Easton Russell
So the 1980s issue is Johnny cucking Ben, She-Hulk joining the team and Sue becoming Malice? The 1990s issue is Johnny married to a Skrull, Reed and Doom being thought dead, and Sue wearing that costume. The 2000s issue is Civil War tearing the family apart and then Johnny dying The 2010s issue is the Future Foundation and Secret Wars
Cooper Thompson
Goddammit Starlin, write something else.
Hudson Rodriguez
that Shang Chi one was announced as an ongoing.
Adam Edwards
It says right there it's a reprint of something he wrote in 1990.
I wonder if this means that Dane is going to get the ebony shield?
Julian Gray
Is baby cable finally over?
Jackson Martin
OH FUCK! MAMMOMAX!
Benjamin Ramirez
The great retconning is coming, and thank God because if anyone is in major need of a retcon it's this bitch.
Lincoln Williams
Is Wendell getting shelved again?
Kayden Ramirez
And here I thought that this wouldn't get past the sixth issue.
Cooper Edwards
How the fuck is roxxon still a thing after the shit with Xemnu?
Jose Jones
>SPIDER-MAN BY TODD MCFARLANE OMNIBUS HC Bitchin'
Thomas Evans
I thought that the ongoing was being written by Alyssa Wong.
William Bennett
Marvel wants to pretend that New Warriors doesn't exist.
Mason Torres
that was a one shot only. it went mini by Yang, one shot by Wong, then ongoing by Yang. The one shot was ok, a quick little fight with Lady Deathstrike
Please, don't pretend that anyone gives a shot about Avril.
Carson Robinson
It's like Miles can't come up with an original hero identity to save his life.
Juan Harris
I don't believe that this will end without Britannia coming back to life.
William Wood
Alt Phyla is still as much of shit as regular Phyla.
Andrew Morgan
The question isn't whether she'll come back, the question is whether she'll still look the same or she'll come back black.
Matthew Cook
More likely she'll be paki.
Grayson Martin
I like Reptil, he's like Swift from The Authority meets Beast Boy, but in Marvel. Did Beastboy ever have the ability to partially shift into animal like Hybrids, like a werewolf or a type of hawkman?
Mason Mitchell
>Marvel having a character introduced as a lesbian >marrying a guy nah
Also even if it wasn't it's likely that's what Marvel wants. They're not going to come to him and go "hey Jim, wanna write a Shang-Chi story" but "hey Jim, wanna write a Thanos story".
Blake Peterson
The "one man who remembers everything" part of the plot was in of Age of Apocalypse before it was House of M. It was probably an old trope then.
Jonathan Carter
Love how I can just see Jason Aaron's name and know it's gonna be shit
David Anderson
>and by a good writer! Zdrasky is a good writer tho? Spider-Man: Life Story literally proved that
Ryan Myers
Got the first printing of this, but it's nice that Marvel is making an effort to reprint these more.
Jaxson Parker
Zdarsky sucks
David Parker
His Daredevil says otherwise. Cope.
Robert Miller
They died on the way back to their home planet.
Austin Brooks
Always love stories involving the original X-Factor
Jace Price
It's interesting how the Superior Foes of Spider-men crew are doing nowadays.
Ian Bailey
I'm still in the camp that the creative team should had used more Marvel UK created characters in this book. Hell, Death's Head or Death Angel
this costume is ugly, his haircut is ugly. I prefer his onesie from the Hickvengers era
Sebastian Rodriguez
Side note: Did anyone else expect Fantastic Four: Grand Design to have such a depressing ending?
Samuel Garcia
I don't understand why it suddenly became Future Past
Carson Brown
>why >smartest human on earth is some black girl from Fuckville it's like you're willfully blind
Adam Clark
Does anyone really care about this event? Does anyone even hold any fucking nostalgia for fucking Heroes Reborn of all things? I don't think so. It's clear both Marvel and DC are hitting a creativity block concerning the direction of their entire line, maybe if they just didn't want to shit out events every 3 months they would allow room to the writers to breathe and bring new ideas
Isaiah Nelson
>Does anyone even hold any fucking nostalgia for fucking Heroes Reborn of all things? This event is clearly just DCU Marvel Edition, since it's the 25th anniversary of DC vs Marvel. It has literally no similarity with the original Heroes Reborn other than it's name.
Julian Powell
isnt 2021 the 50th anniversary for man-thing?
Luke Long
says so on the cover
Jonathan Thomas
