This kind of issue is just digging himself deeper in the hole because it reminds the reader that the story had a trashcan ending, and even the author knows it.

To be fair to Bagley, he was doing two issues a month for the majority of his run on USM, and without any fill-in artists. He's one of the fastest pros out there, but that is fucking insane.

I find it really hard to take this seriously when the characters are acting like Harry just got into a serious fight with them and not that he transformed into a reality-warping, zombie demon off screen.

They don't even have basic assurance that it even is Harry when said Demon could clearly control his appearance.
