You guys ever wonder why AMAZO isn't a bigger thing in DC? He's an android that can replicate powers, and most of us are familiar with his Doctor Manhattan tier presence in the DCAU. Is there anything you'd like to see with him? I'm surprised that "The Doomsday Virus" is a thing, but Ivo Androids are not

Because "copies the powers of the Justice League" isn't a personality trait, and there are other characters that examine the existential issues more effectively.

It could be done, but it would need a good writer and a lot of excellent characterization. I don't think he's going to get that investment.

Well for one there's only so many ways you can have a guy who can (more or less) perfectly replicate the powers and skills of anyone, have them keep said abilities and have them lose or be a reoccuring character. You would either have to nerf them like the CW and Young Justice or take it to its logical conclusion and have them become a cosmic entity like Golden Amazo. Second, like said, he doesn't have much of a personality besides 'copy powers, fight the Justice League and do Ivo's bidding'. Not to say to you couldn't give him one they tried by giving him a son and with the Amazo virus

Because he's not much of a character. He just has his powers and that's it. If someone made him into a credible threat that worked on his then that might be something compelling.

I don't like him because it just seems too silly to suspend disbelief.

Honestly, I can only remember the Justice League cartoon being the only piece of media that did anything interesting with him. In almost all other cases he is just another mook/final boss of the day

That's part of the appeal, his design is the only kind of silly shit only the Silver Age could come up with.

Because his original (and most often used) design is gay and dumb, just like you.

I agree its a great look for him, but consider that his most well known incarnation in the JL cartoon changed his design for a reason

People who can copy powers and keep those powers either end up overpowered (Medaka, Kirby, Protege) as jobbers (Peter Petrelli, Metal Sonic and Hope Summers) or quietly forgotten/leave/or stay as a oneshot (Remember Mimic from from Marvel, JL Amazo, Synch, that time Vixen could copy powers or Duplicate Boy from the Legion of Superheroes)

He's fine as a type of final boss

I kind of want a blending of classic and DCAU Amazo. The simplistic base of the DCAU mixed with the lines/colors of classic. Oh, and instead of pointy ears, he has antennae that look similar to The Flash

They should make him invade the main comics from Earth-12. God knows how strong he's gotten by the time Batman Beyond starts.

Issue with Amazo (other than the retarded name and design) is simply that in order for him to lose, he needs to forget his own powers, which he does basically every time he appears. He's a character that creates bad writing because if he's written well, he can't lose.
