I rewatched it after 6 years. Was 19 the first time i saw it. Now it just seemed so cringe.

Season 2 is not better, but it is more consistent and rewatchable

I feel like the edginess of Rust is grounded by the shit Marty gives him for it.
Certain parts have been panned since the debut. Namely the abrupt jump in the last episode. When you come to terms that it's more of a character drama than a detective story, however, you come to terms with some of the negatives.
