I remember watching this and thinking that Henry was an utter bastard by the end. Did I get filtered?
Then I read the other plays about him and thought he was even worse.
ShakesQueer is and always had been the emperor's clothes of literature.
He's never been good other than the fact that people who sound smart and knowledgeable tell you he's good
>le 56% face
Yes, that is indeed what you just did
>filtered on square one of English literature
nigger
Brannagh's version is a glorified TV movie.
Olivier's film pushed the boundaries of what a film could be, blurring the lines between stage and screen, and is still one of the finest adaptations of a Shakespeare play to this day.
This is what kino used to be about
Kino
Yes, and it's a masterpiece. The 1944 movie is good too.
when contrarianism goes way, WAY too far. shakespeare is a one of a kind genius
Band of brothers.
Just look at this fucking retard.
I never grasped how people can't understand Shakespeare. Language is based a lot on context, gestures, tone cues etc. If you're capable of understanding a situation and reading facial expressions, you're capable of following a Shakespeare play. If a guy is giving a speech to his comrades before they go into battle, what the fuck do you think he's going to be talking about, fucking taxes? All you need to do is pay attention.
A young Christian Bale in that scene, and checked.
>t. retard
The long take of him carrying Bale's dead body across the battlefield is one of the most kino shots ever filmed.
Yes
tries to christianise shakespeare too much and becomes a parody of itself
Why is 21st century media like this?
