How to overcome depression?
Get a nearly death experience, or an accident, or be sick so much you nearly die.
At this moment you will yearn for when you were healthy and could experience the world freely. If you eventually recover you'll enjoy life and the second chance you have to enjoy it.
Realize How lucky you are to be alive and well, because once it's gone you'll be miserable for real
so basically "be scared of something" nice.

I used to be a depressed edgy teenager, 'everything suck', 'I wish I was dead' etc..
Then I nearly died and was in terrible condition in the hospital for some time, could barely walk.
I started looking at the window from my bed, and I wished I could be well again because after all the world wasn't so bad, it was my attitude. I thought I wanted to die but actually no, I wanted to live and to go back in the world outside the window were the sunlights were coming form, I dreamed about all the things I would if I could recover.
You are like this because of your environment and circumstances, chance your vision of you reality, it's just a perspective. Decide to be happy.
Doing sport helps, you need to be outside, in the real, go take a long walk in the nature. Run, get yourself physically tired, release dopamine in your brain with sport.
You need to reconnect with simple things. Reconnect with your self, your body etc, its primary functions.
I said I do sport and it doesnt help
Find a new hobby, fuck hookers, smoke a cig, discover new places, go to Thailand.
Get a new haircut, a new style. Find new friends, change job.
Change your life settings, to gain a new perspective on life maybe.
What if I have anxiety
If you have anxiety it means you lack self confidence.
I used to be like that as well, then I had to go to the army for some time, started musculation.
It made a huge impact, you gain confidence, your brain changes, more testosterone, you feel completely different mentally, I'm very confident now.
It's not about only building muscle, it's the chemical transformation it will make in your brain.

Use the internet less, the internet and social media in general feeds off bad energy, that's why when something bad happens like a you're instantly notified of it.

If your problem isn't psychologic then taking meds is what you need.
I have anxiety and everything in my life was good, but I still felt scared of things that didn't even exist in the real world.
I went to therapy (didn't help) and then to the psychiatrist, he gave me some ssri's and now I'm feeling great
