Is there a crypto exchange that you can legit use as a bank day-to-day, with sort code, account number, debit card and everything? UK here.

Crypto IS the bank.
Is Bitwala any good?
Perhaps, but I would like to have all my money in one convenient place, so I can get paid in fiat and have than alongside my crypto and transfer them without doing a BACS payment to and fro.
Coinmetro is getting a European banking licence. Not yet though, but do keep an eye on it.
I remember Coinbase has a debit card coming out that does similiar to what you're after
Whh not secure your own crypto wallet on your own hardware?
Most of the majors have a debit card, and you can withdraw cash at bitcoin atms, but none of the exchanges are going to want to be subject to all the banking regulations.
I am a Bong though, so EU banking is pretty diferent to ours.
I need BACS like account and sort code, so I can get paid by my wageslave job.
Just wanna be able to seemlessly buy more and then cash all in at once if I see an opportunity to do so. Maybe keep my Monero on a paper wallet, but all other coins are just investments to me so I want full control to buy and sell quick.
yeah, perhaps a bank that does crypto, rather than crypto exchange that wants to be a bank.
To my knowledge, I don't think that exists yet. Maybe when Rishi makes 'Britcoin' it'll happen.
Honestly I'm not sure if a bank could do crypto if they wanted to. They have their hands tied by a ludicrous number of fiduciary regulations.
lol boomercoin. I hear Revolut is okay but they still don't let you move coins to cold storage.
Revolut does but that is about all and their app was shit when I tried years ago.
>Just wanna be able to seemlessly buy more and then cash all in at once if I see an opportunity to do so
Ah. Were definitely nearing an extremely fluid monetary system, but it's not all there, yet. We need to do some infrastructure work. Best bet is probably coinbase.
monolith.xyz
crypto.com
I imagened so. Is coinbase actually like a bank though? With a BACS number and all? My company insists on real bank, no payments into crypto.
Please see above, are they regular banking friendly?
I don't think these are out yet but the debit cards are only a part of the movements to come. Banks are absolutely fucked because of how much people can make passively or actively with more risk. The upgraded 24/7 SEPA between select banks was their initial response to when BTC and essentially all of crypto got the green light L M F A O (like, this isn't the mass-ban global extinction event timeline and this shit is here to multiply).
Next move in the bankign world would be one that incorproates all of the utility of a bank that one could desire would be one that helps with tracking taxes, maybe helps with establishing a sensible regulatory policy for paying taxes(a lot of people actually work with the system to pay taxes for benefits within the system it's not all about being a metamask booty bandit sticking it to the man and telling everyone mortgages are rape just because you dont wanna declare your illegal shit or dont know how to follow the mess of shitcoin fixer upper trades your life now consists of)
Bitpanda
Can get a debit card and move coins to external wallets. Based in Austria, going since 2014
ALSO, simplifying dAPPs, being the newest institution that doesn't wanna block select features from you but perhaps help you break it down to engage in DeFI perhaps at the slightest fee.
I'm tech savvy enough to engage with all the defi and dAPPs i want for some nice passive yields but just remember there are people who have been here for years that still don't know how to input settings for BSC let alone know what and how to use the defi shit either that could REALLY make use of it instead of forced-degeneracy. Worldwide adoption is gonna take some serious dumbing down just like people struggle with basic 2fa bank apps somehow. Defi dapp iinterfaces are complex and these smart money defi banksters are totally interested in accessing those markets even if we're not but it needs some real buffing
it's "voila" you idiot
