Sells faster than AC Valhalla

Nothing personnel, Ubisoft.

Sorry, can't play it, too popular, it's shit.

>same prince and requirements of AC Valhalla
>still more popular
how do they do it?

It's an actual game.

this would have sold 5 million if they went to epic with a lower cut too
just saying

mining ore is still tedious. no clue how to improve it and make it engaging. Any ideas, Dab Forums?

The power of shilling...

It's not a bad game. And it seems to be a 50+ hour experience. I've been playing with my gf for about 10 hours now and we've explored like 2% of the map. Game is pretty massive.

no one uses epic chink store to buy games

Want to play together Dab Forums?

I bought it, checked it out. Very fun
Gonna wait until its out of EA to play

>Playing with my gf
>Did I mention I have a gf... and I play vidya with my gf

Shut the fuck up retard, don’t rub it in our faces, no one gives a fuck.

>$15 vs $60
wooooow

I will only play this game if we can enslave enemies.

mad lmao

The game uses procedural generation, you absolute retard. You can finish 100% of the content of the game without every making it past 2% on the map.

Only bronze sucks. Just make a bronze axe/pickaxe/boat and then skip to iron.

It's fun though, it's well done.

>60 million dollareedoos in gross sales in less than 2 weeks
>on an indie game
>if they weren't retards, they're set for life even after everyone takes a cut

Attached: pepe-hmmm.jpg (1024x762, 143.72K)

Not true, the bosses become farther and farther from the middle of the map so to reach them you have to adventure out. I'm saying I haven't made it past 2% from the middle.

? valhalla sold like 10 million in week

lol, impotent rage much. I've also been playing it with my girlfriend, by the way.

Absolutely true. It's randomly generated. You can even find all the bosses in the starting area.

In my session of the game the bosses have only spawned farther and farther out in the map. Not sure how randomized it is because I haven't seen anyone else play the game. But in my experience, to progress the game you have to stray far from the middle of the map. I know it's randomly generated, that's obvious.

Not him, but I am genuinely interested now. Do you have a seed for that?
The last 3 maps I've generated all have the bosses spread out, and not in adjacent biomes.

This level of success is still so damn confusing to me. I've enjoyed playing with friends but I don't see WHY it's become so damn popular overnight.

The tiny dev team isn't going to be able to keep up with the huge expectations people on the steam forums have. Last time I checked it was just one dude that hired two other dudes this past year.

Attached: Serpent wrangling.webm (700x392, 2.88M)

My fifth boss is closer to the middle than the fourth. I've had elder be on the same island I start on while in another run it was really fucking far away.

It's pretty random.

WHO KEEPS BUYING AC

One of the best games I've played, probably didn't get this feeling since maybe mount & blade.

Was/is great playing with friends, got well over 100 hours.

It's on Steam

Attached: ghjhgh.png (771x804, 1.06M)

If I remember correctly it's made by like 2 dudes. As long as the publisher didn't fuck them those guys are literal millionaires right now.

I also bought Valheim™, don't wanna miss out!

>0 gay shit
>an actual game
Dunno bro.

B-B-BUT TIM STORE IS BETTER RIGHT?? MUH BIGGER CUT?

I somehow doubt it would have been allowed on Epic in the first place. Despite always claiming they would look out for the little man, they denied a lot of indie games entry.

That's where you're wrong, Steamcel.

It's blown up because of the quarantine. People are starved for community interaction, something you don't really see in other Survival games due to the PVP nature.
Add in the fact that the game is pretty simple in its delivery, and you get something that just gets big.

I think the dev team can handle what they promise. Regardless, I got my money out of the game without forcing it.

Coffee Stain has hit gold recently, between Iron Gate and Ghost Ship Games. I doubt they are hurting, and I doubt the developers mind.
Still haven't seen Coffee Stain market for them though, so I can't really say how good of a deal Iron Gate got with their contract.

Name one breakout indie-title that made it's name on EGS

Every time an indie early access open world survival game with crafting sells well we get five more years of indie early access open world survival game with crafting.

The only marketing I saw from Coffee stain was a post on their twitter when I was looking for info on the Satisfactory update.

Ummm... Outer Wilds?

Cause they want the indies to be timed exclusives only, is their way or the highway.

Is there an item that completely scares off enemies from attacking your base? I just want to be comfy farming and raising hogs.

The pick. Just dig a mote around your base so enemies can't even reach it.

There's only one flying enemy that can get around it.

hell no

Just use the terrain to your advantage. Dig a moat or something.

Game looks like crap

Dam, so pretty much Iron Gate got the same deal as GSG?

You dropped this

>raising hogs

but you could be raising wolves or lox, why waste your time with weak ass useless oinker retards.

any bets that tim is trying to get it off steam and into ebin store?

it also had an army of influencers praising it while AC Valhalla didn't. also AC Valhalla is better anyways

Attached: Assassin's Creed® Valhalla2021-2-1-18-33-28.jpg (3840x2160, 469.58K)

will never leave early access now that they have your money.
good job

>it also had an army of influencers praising it while AC Valhalla didn't.
LMAO

We're talking about ubishill, mate.

>get to bonemass
>wildly overgeared so i figure we can do it because we skipped silver by taking some linen from a friend
>go to tank him and do some damage. >My health is high because im on jam and sausage and i have padded armor
>gave some to the other 3 people
>tell them to use their maces
>they sit back for 5 minutes being useless shooting him for .5 damage with arrows as i try to tank the boss, deal with mobs and deal the only fucking damage despite me asking them to fucking help
>no dude hes doing poison damage my potion isn't working
>continues to sit back and deals his .25 dps
Jesus fucking christ i think I'd be better off alone.

ubisoft games get constantly slammed popular youtubers like shill up and jim 'yo mama' sterling. people complained that AC Valhalla is too long yet they praise this game.

Attached: Assassin's Creed® Valhalla2021-2-1-17-57-43.jpg (3840x2160, 1.99M)

OMG FOTM ALREADY DYING

kusoge

i remember when the shills said that for ark, rust, minecraft, etc.

truly it is just people hopping on the bandwagon and mass shilling.

>shills
>minecraft
way to oust yourself as a newfag, retard
kys

It's not souless slug-fest #37

Dab Forums was the first place I heard about Minecraft in 2009 retard.

exactly, notch himself was the only one ever shilling it here
fuck that retarded newfag you're replying to

this is where all the fall guys and among us kiddies went to?

>game isn't out for console, primarily nintendo
>half the board is seething about it
SOUR GRAPES
SOUR GRAPES
YOU GOT DEM SOUR GRAPES

Early minecraft WAS fun. Especially modded minecraft like Teknik

outer wilds made its name long before epic.

I found some old map-dumps from january 2010 on an old drive recently. Cozy as fuck.

Enemies have health scaling so you literally would be better off alone just fyi. Group up for building/material gathering then go solo for bosses if your friends are trolling.

maybe, but unlike the games you've just mentioned, Valheim is quite enjoyable in singleplayer, so If it really is the flavor of the month and people stop playing eventually, it'll still be fun.

How good is base building?

it's the strongest aspect of the game

Pretty good, considering it tries to stay period accurate

Not to mention the game only supports like 10 player servers. So having drastic changes in playerbase doesn't matter at all.

Zoomer marketing

That applies to most of the other terrible open world crafting survival turds on steam. You're just an npc my man

Why are you so obsessed and invested in online toy stores?

Literally nobody shills for ubisoft games you delusion retard

Why do zoomers love games that look worse than the n64?

Thats sad

>streamer bait
Fucking how? I really enjoy the game but I spend so much time levelling ground, tilling fields, and reorganizing chests. Why would anyone want to watch someone else play this?

you'll always be a zoomer, no matter how hard you try to fit in, faggot

Playing with nu-Dab Forums is probably one of the worst thing you can do.

>make some shitty viking crafting survival
>streamers find out about it
>make some decent bucks
why don't we get together and make a game that will sell like cold water on a sunny day.

Attached: 1613650377506.jpg (541x541, 41.62K)

>rust - one of the most popular games of all time
>minecraft - one of the most popular games of all time

what are you trying to say man lol, are you saying that popular is bad? Because those are 2 genre defining games that will be used and based upon for decades to come. Are you retarded?

>Buy Valheim because a friend I haven't played anything with in a while begs me sayings it's the second coming of christ.
>Buy it for 20$, it's cheap and I enjoyed my time with Conan Exiles.
>Get on server, Get on voice chat.
>Server owner and a couple dudes welcome me. I mention I'd like an hour or two to learn the basics before participating. They all agree.
>Server owner is constantly complaining and alpha gaming, dictating where we should build, what materials we should use, where we should deposit our stuff. Ok.
>Kill the first boss, start to get the hang of it. Come back to my house half destroyed because it was too big.
>Server owner mentions the server is lagging with 3 players because there's too much buildings: we need to destroy everything and keep only the central stockroom.
>Everyone is out to farm Iron while I'm preparing for Boss 2. All the food was brought for their expedition. Decide to take the carrot seeds and plant them to help.
>Server owner throws a fit, inspecting each carrot one by one to make sure they are healthy and saying I should get my own carrot seeds.
>Leave the server. Join another friend's server. They walk around 5 minutes then go afk for 30 minutes. No progress is made.
>Leave the server, ask to join another friend's server. "Sorry dude, people I play with don't want unknowns in the server because they could loot our chests or set our house on fire"
>Finally decide to wait for next week to start with the same group I played Conan Exiles with.

This is what you get when your game is catered toward normies.

>5 guys vs 1000 guys
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

sounds like people don't like you

because I like toys?

>gets dominated by a pack alpha
>proceeds to bitch on Dab Forums about it
the absolute state of zoomers lol

Your first mistake was not playing with just you and your friend who you already knew.
Your second mistake was trying to do it again for some reason.

Think terraria, not ark/rust. You don't join a dedicated terraria server

>get on servers with random people
>"Why are people shit?"
It's like you've never played anything online, ever.

Friends got me to try it and its actually good. Satisfies my unga bunga and construction autism. You start inna woods with nothing, punch lizards and lil green jews. Gradually build shelters and tools with shit you find on the ground, then work toward technology progression like Terraria via bosses and regional resources.

Shit that impresses me the most is the world persistance and performance. I cut down a tree or dump some items on the ground halfway across the world. Forget about them for 3 days after playing for 20 hours. Play game again and shit is still right where I left it. I hope the fucking jews in AAA are fearful now that they've seen whats possible with good low poly and use of resources

Attached: unknown.png (1368x800, 2.36M)

Yeah that must be it considering the two servers I joined was on a invitation and mentioning I'll start next week with another group of friends.
I think the problem here is that it's currently inhabited by normies pretending to be hardcore because they feel compelled to thoroughly learn a game for once in their life time.

What popular streamer is playing this?

I think you replied to the wrong post, user.

Staller69

STOP STOP TALKING ABOUT THIS STREAMER GAME!!!!! THIS ONE STREAMER THAT ALWAYS HAS 10K VIEWERS HAD 11K VIEWERS AHHHHHHHHH STREAMER GAME HUUUUUR

>flavor of the month with retarded streamer support
I wonder how soon until its player numbers drop

Absolutely fucking no one. Just no named nobodies. If even one random steamer strwmas the game the retards on here lose their fucking mind.

>Dab Forums is still seething
Glorious

Dyslexic69 is great tho

Why do you care about the player numbers of a singleplayer game?

You might be retarded son.

isnt it funny how they know it's supposedly a streamer game
I can't even name any streamers, i only know the xQc guy because I'm following chess but that's it
Knowing and following streamers is zoomer trend through and through

Is this game closer to Terraria or closer to rust?

Your friends sometimes have their own friends. That's how things work, user. Unless you're a turbo autist tryhard or it's somehow a project you've been working on for months, the more the merrier. I don't want to fall into the stereotype that people on Dab Forums don't know what it's like to have friends, but come on now.
It's a simple early access game with barely any content where you build shit together and people tackle it as if they were sharing their 450 days playtime WoW account.

This game has as much to do with Terraria as Terraria as to do with Minecraft. People need to stop this nonsense. Fighting bosses to progress in an open world where you can build things does not equate Terraria.

>look at OP
>currently 7th most streamed game
>how do you guys know this is a streamer game!?????
Room temp IQ

WH OMEGALUL ?

>autistic zoomer misses the point as usual
whoa, big surprise there
people have been bitching for days now about streamers apparently shilling this, who the fuck cares about OP

Terraria

Wouldn't this mean TF2 should have a huge viewership too?

So what's their excuse for not hiring more staff and accelerating the roadmap?

Why should they ?

>it's well done

Attached: no bro.jpg (1280x872, 67.64K)

do you understand what hiring more people actually entails? its a lot of work.

Because streamers have been shilling this, its rank 7 for a reason.
Streamers are the ABC of shilling these days, if you want your open world whatever to sell you need streamers playing your shit.

Its literally 3d terraria. I dont understand your retardation.

Progress is saved on the character and the character can be taken to any world. You can take materials from one world and bring it to another. You mine for resources to fight bosses to unlock better resources to fight stronger bosses. All the while building up a bigger and better base to manufacture those upgrades

Theming obviously it's very different but the gameplay loop is 1 for 1.

Have sex incel

>rank 7
sorry I don't speak zoomer, you'll have to put it in over 18 terms

Okay? Literally none of the streamers are paid to play this. People are splaying it because it's fun.

The game was launched as an early access title roughly 3 weeks ago and ended up being more successful than they ever dreamed of. Millions of sales does not equal instant growth of a studio, hiring people and trying to manage what to do with this success is going to take time. This is assuming that's even what they want to do, there are countless examples of Kickstarter games that ended up being backed for way more than they planned and thus has to broaden the scope of their roadmap while losing focus of what they wanted to create in the first place.

>I don't speak zoomer
me neither, based on the dev note I imagine its a good thing considering the devs are bragging about all this crap.
Apparently good numbers on twitch is as good as an insane amount of good reviews and critical acclaim

It's undertail again. Where a generally good game is hated on Dab Forums because it became popular. Fucking retards.

Dab Forums adored undertale for the first few weeks
then degenerate bronnyfags and furfags and faggots jumped on the ship and Dab Forums began hating it

Keeping a character and items between servers has nothing to do with gameplay. Mining resources to fight bosses and unlock better resources is the gameplay loop of almost every single crafting/survival games.

In Terraria, you don't build a better base to manufacture upgrades: all of them fit in a single 2% screen room.

You build villages and bases for your NPC to provide better services and smoother progression. Terraria is centered around exploration in order to find hundreds of items that not only modify gameplay but expands the exploration range. Weapons are by the hundreds with several intricacies and synergies with other items. Exploration is very vertical with emphasis on building a safe way until you can get access to double/jump or flight. All of these key Terraria features are absent from Valheim and aren't planned for the near future either. It's a completely different game more akin to Conan Exiles than Terraria.

I think that when people compare Valheim to Terraria, they mean along the lines that your crafting capacities and materials are gatekept via bosses
That's really where the similarities end and begin
