What? You got that exactly wrong, it's the opposite. Only publicly traded companies can be force-bought, because their shares are on the market. A private company has literally no shares on the market, the only way to acquire them is to cut a direct deal with the current owners

When they bought their Epic shares, there was heavy pressure for the Paragon devs to re-hape it into a proto-overwatch, because it was a conflict of interest in league.
Tencent are going to go through this a lot if they continually want to kirby up companies. It might actually start doing them more damage.
