At least Nioh 2 is a better speedrunning game than Most Wanted, but the runner is pretty low energy.
Go watch a let's play, faggot.
It's probably hard to be high energy for 3 hours

>don't want to get spoiled
>run is already up to where i am
time to go play vidya for three hours i guess
That's what commentators are for, why doesn't he have any?
> interested in the speedrun
> game sound is too low
Never forget.
We are 5 minutes into the run and the dude is almost falling asleep.
>F: Minecraft
Huh, what happened?
Yoshimoto was such a joke boss, I thought he was going to have a second form or something but nope
he's also a spaniard with horrible english
I don't know user, why don't you watch it so we can finally answer that question for everyone
It'll probably just become omnyo/ninjutsu spam anyway.
>Waira
are stats/levels not important in this game? he's skipping everything, how is he supposed to get amrita?
Reminder that this is a bully free zone, be nice and kind around here.
Never considered using burst counter to get out of the no ki stagger.
equipment has a much stronger effect than levels until ng+
>He/Them
????????
Everything after Donkey Kong 2 was boring as fuck
If you're speedrunning it, no. What's important is optimizing for ki and raw damage output with the resources the game gives you.
>are stats/levels not important in this game?
no
it's more important to know how to play
if you want to skip that part you can just level up and get better gear
Does anyone else hear random Mario coin noises every now and then?
Yes, I thought it had something to do with donations but it can't be it.
early on, weapon scaling with stats isn't very high at all. it isn't until you have 100s of points in a single stat that the scaling gives any significant damage bonus. using the first 100 levels to just get more ninjutsu/onmyo spells and equipment load is a better investment
Shit, I had no idea this event was happening, only found out because I was searching for the next Nioh thread on the catalog. And now's the last day.
In terms of difficulty is nioh 2 as ads raped brutal as sekiro or does it habe an actual decent learning curve? Because the game looks neat but I just don't want to be fed another game I won't beat like sekiro.
For the most part, no. The majority of attributes only confer tiny statistical improvements.
Even when you don't meet minimum stat requirements for a weapon, it still functions at 100% strength; the only thing denied you is the Special Effects activated on it, which are also extremely minor until late game/New Game plus.
The only stats with real inherent value are Stamina, Dexterity and Magic, as they increase your equip load and dump a bunch of Ninja/Onmyo Skill Points on you.
i spent 40 hours to get to this point in the game...
If you're unfamiliar with the mechanics Nioh 2 is probably harder than sekiro at the start but gets easier as it goes on
>sekiro
>hard
Is this some sort of elaborate bait? This is rhythm game in disguise.
What the fuck was I doing in this game with my puny katana, his axe unga bunga is destroying everything by spamming the same move.
Nioh 2 is more mechanically complex than Sekiro, but it also has many ways to mitigate the difficulty, such as coop or overleveling, which Sekiro doesn't have.
went all kung fu with fists and i should have just gone unga bunga axe hit head...
It's harder than Sekiro, mostly because it's more unforgiving. Any random shitty enemy in the game can murder you in two hits.
that's the power of the axe
Love Magara's theme
>that side mission where you fight the ice lad and a revenant spawns half-way through
What's the appeal? These games are way too fast for their own good, you can just twitch react out of things.
That's a good way of getting yourself killed.
Is that the same mission were you can kill the brother first and he doesn't spawn in the boss fight?
I like that mission.
>that skill tree
okay I might actually have to play this game
I'm a sucker for any game with huge varity in point distribution allowing character progression to feel unique
why does the camera not zoom in properly when he does grapples?
Have you been living under a rock?
You can turn off cinematic camera events
What a strange concept to question, user. Many people enjoy fast paced challenges. There's tons of games in all genres that encourage twitch reactions, from twitch shooters to high speed racing games to insanely fast rhythm games. Plenty of people enjoy fast things, and saying that something is too fast in a speedrunning thread is pretty ironic.
you'll eventually be able to get all the skills, but there's a ton of builds and customization in this game
you can also customize the skills like add fire damage or something
Traning for taking it in
The skill tree is a mixed bag. On one hand, you can get moves that radically change how you approach combat, on the other you get shit like increasing backstab damage by 3%.
>50 minutes to get where i am after 50 hours
is this power of axe unga bunga?
That's kinda to be expected, but even the 3% added damage whatever random thing goes a little bit into defining your own playstyle.
it's a bit disappointing when you can just unlock them all, though.
FF12 was completely remade because of this problem. If you played the whole game, every character unlocked every skill and they all wound up being more or less the same.
I've been slacking on the splitstaff. Looks fun
>and they all wound up being more or less the same.
nioh 2 definitely doesnt have that problem
Gyuki was the worst boss in the game. Prove me wrong.
I had no idea the splitstaff could be that broken.
BOOBA
Yes, also knowing whats coming helps a fucking ton
Save the frames
Why don't more people donate to ESA? It seems like a good cause.
>ESA
>runs 24hrs/day for 9ish days, very minimal setup times between runs
>raised only $35k for alzheimer's research and programs to help people whose family has suffered from alzheimers
vs
>gdq spinoff """women only""" event frame fatales
>runs less than 12hrs/day for 7 days
>not even half the runners are women
>raises $81k for uhh... women?
vs
>gdq itself
>same exact format as ESA but with shit like interviews, prize shilling, and 30+ minute setup times
>raises a gorillion dollars for cancer which will never have a cure
>raises a gorillion dollars for slave and terrorist recovery/transport
I feel bad for killing kasha entirely with ranged spells
it's got diablo loot. all the variance in builds comes from gear.
Everything can be broken in this game. In fact, the highest difficulties devolve into breaking the game harder than it can cheat against you.
Because believe it or not, the people most willing to throw their money away are the people who GDQ's bullshit actually appeals to.
ESA is less well known.
Americans are more charitable than euros so a U.S. based event should probably be getting more donations.
GDQ has a portion of their donations from their sponsors which helps to inflate some. just look at all the donations from The Yeti.
Doctors without Borders is pretty cringe but at least it's not literally just some national alzheimer's fund that mainly does awareness work
Choked
>dying to Kasha
>twice
Bro how the fuck?
kasha is stronger than unga bunga?
>choking to kitty titties
>raises a gorillion dollars for cancer which will never have a cure
cancer prevention not actual fighting cancer
>Doctors without Borders is pretty cringe but at least it's not literally just some national alzheimer's fund that mainly does awareness work
yeah doctors without borders is a literal terrorist organization
>>raises a gorillion dollars for cancer which will never have a cure
You forget. It's for cancer "prevention and early discovery" not for actual cancer treatments.
>took a long break after the two trannies yesterday
>check the schedule
>ff7 remake up next
>check the runner
Could be worse for a speedrunner. Kinda looking forward to the run.
Fuck Doctors without Borders
Fucking globalhomo tools flooding europe with nigger scum
>rep that LGBT+ pride
rep what exactly? for what purpose? is this basically just "look at me im a fag"?
yes
this one is on easy so it is probably not gonna be that good compaed to the other one in GDQ, which was just a normal dude doing a normal run. It was pretty cool
Beginning to feel bad for him
nice reddit tier collage. perfect for posting on /r/Dab Forums
>it's got diablo loot.
In only the loosest sense. The only "Diablo" part of gear in Nioh are the Special/Set effects. The rest of the weapon is relatively fixed and can be upgraded indefinitely - you could carry the same weapon you got near the beginning of the game and Soul Match it to become a Level 200 version.
Unlike Diablo where the chance for a super unique weapon to drop is 0.00001% and any random effects on it are what you're stuck with, all of the unique stuff in Nioh drops like candy and you can modify most of the Special Effects on it.
Prevent Cancer Foundation is also a scam. 80% of their yearly income comes from GDQ. And the GDQ executives get paid by the PCF. It´s all a big circle jerk money scheme...
>raises a gorillion dollars for slave and terrorist recovery/transport
What did I miss?
holy shit that ferral shift looked cool
and americans fall for it...
it's like pottery
>took a long break after the two trannies yesterday
Which runs?
Doctors Without Borders has no issue treating ISIS
>you could carry the same weapon you got near the beginning of the game and Soul Match it to become a Level 200 version.
you could do that, but it would be crap compared to the weapons you get later
speedrun uses axe that's pretty cool
>Nekomata
Tetris: The Grand Master has 90+ trannies in a single run
Doctors Without Borders does a lot of human smuggling in the name of giving people a better life, i.e. dumping the scum of the Earth on Europe.
he also uses the splitstaff
but the faster speedrun strat is to just use feathers
tetris grand master and metal gear ghost babel
kek
Threadly reminder that MSF:
>provides medical supplies and treatment to ISIS fighters
>provides food and water to known terrorist cells
>provides food and medical aid to migrants attempting to illegally enter foreign nations
>personally commits illegal human trafficking
>exchanges food, water, and drugs for sex
Let's break 6 million this GDQ!
Thanks for the free money goyim :^)
How have people not called them out on this?
>Let's break 6 million this GDQ!
these fucking ads ... literally unwatchable
There are so many ways to circumvent them that it's your own damn fault.
i havent had any ads
Thats because GDQ is also a money laundering operation. Im willing to believe that the charities themselves are behind half of the $500 (((anonymous donations))). Also they have deals with the sponsors. The sponsors have to donate X amount before the run is over. Im willing to bey maybe 150k of a GDQ is actually from legitimate donations.
Because people who donate a lot of money don't care about that, they just want to feel good about supporting an epic gamer charity. Bugmen are not just a meme.
ads?
they are literally running ads as a forced video, there's no way to block that
i have seen that viewsonic ad a million times now
What are the skills he's using with the axe?
Those aren't the ads that happen during runs
titanic strength
true, also im not
>People can't install a fucking simple browser extension
how do i block ads on firefox? I use the alternative player and it pauses the stream when ads run
>fr*nch in last place
typical
Ads?
le ooooooooooooorb
Use Streamlink. You're just gonna have to deal with not having the twitch chat. It brings nothing to the stream anyways.
Man, the first half of this marathon was way better than the second half.
so is it dementia or oldtimers that they care about
>tfw missed most of the first half because of wageslaving
>off the other half of the week but the runs are kinda shite
I won't complain but at least i was able to see that DKC2 run.
I thought I was about to finish this game, but I'm at the point where the guy gets to half his speedrun. That's actually a bit demoralizing, I'm a bit tired of the game already.
Dementia.
Dementia can hit younger than just old people, that shit can start in your 30's or so.
Fuuuuuck that.
this is close to the end of the main game, this run is doing the DLC too and it's pretty chunky.
>Take a peek at the stream to see where he is
>On the level I JUST finished
FUCK the boss of this level, it's fucking awful. I'm at like 80 hours in, wish I knew how much of that time I've blown helping people finish levels.
Same, I'm tuning out for an hour.
what are you using? every one i try either doesn't work or works for a few days and then breaks.
