GameStop Investor, 'Roaring Kitty' on Reddit, Is Sued Over Trading The Reddit forum poster known as 'Roaring Kitty' is being sued for allegedly misrepresenting himself as an amateur investor.
Keith Gill, who adopted the online nickname “Roaring Kitty,” is the subject of a lawsuit regarding the recent GameStop (GME) - Get Report stock frenzy, which saw Wall Street rocked by an army of retail investors. The lawsuit, which was filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Massachusetts, alleges that Gill misrepresented himself as an amateur investor and profited by artificially inflating the price of the stock of the Grapevine, Texas, videogame retailer. “In order to motivate amateur traders, Gill fashioned himself as a kind of Robin Hood and characterized securities professionals as villains,” the lawsuit said. “Gill, however, is no amateur. For many years, he actively worked as a professional in the investment and financial industries.” Gill, the lawsuit said, “caused enormous losses not only to those who bought option contracts, but also to those who fell for Gill’s act and bought GameStop stock during the market frenzy at greatly inflated prices.” Gill worked in marketing for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co., which is also named in the lawsuit. The company declined to comment.

Also, given you're a redditor and from Dab Forums, same thing really, shouldn't you be in favor of what they did since it hurts Da Joos?
Kayden Gutierrez
of course he was an amature investor, the professionals can rig the game by not allowing others to play, having social media close threads, etc. in this case the professionals put in an order that the amatures could no longer buy, only sell

From the beginning WSB was telling people not to try to get in on it late because you wouldn’t make your money back and at that point it was just about sticking it to Wall Street hedge fund Jews. If they fucked up and bought into the FOMO they deserve what happened to em
Holy. Fuck. Porky must love you. Oink oink faggot.

Is it ok if I just die of old age waiting for that to never actually happen instead?

I for one can't wait to see the morbidly obese Orange Fool sitting in a jail cell waving his tiny hands speaking like a below average 4th grader trying to explain to Tyrone, Darius, Pablo, Juan and Jimmy Joe that he alone did more super duper biggly thingys for them than any other president in the history of the universe...everybody is saying it, ok?
I just feel sorry for the Secret Service agents who have to be in prison with him. They'll likely be so pissed off they'll just ignore it when a train is being pulled on him.
Christian Smith
sorry sweetie but it was just a (mostly) peaceful protest mmmkay? >everything else *cringe* Go back to /leftypol/, r*dd*tor
Tyler Perry
>peaceful protest Except for the people who died...and the guys with zip cuffs looking to kidnap our leaders...and the makeshift gallows...amd destruction of property.
Adrian Richardson
So, Roaring Kitty, is now Reddit?
Sorry, they ain't suing Reddit, just one user.
8ch was an user board, and Parler was (and is) a honeypot some companies wanted no part of, but unless "stock rebellion" becomes endemic over there, ain't no one doing shit to Reddit.
In the end, the fat cats benefitted more than they would have anyways, and it was a practice run against some holes they can patch up in short order. It also didn't actually take any money out of the system, in the long haul, so, unlike with violence, there is no core motivating global threat to deal with. Some rich got a bit richer, some rich got a bit poorer. The center holds.

He wasn't an amateur investor though that's the whole problem, he was a scammer and defrauding people in America has always been a serious crime

I know and grew up with Gill he’s not the scammer type but well let congress decide that I guess.

>person files lawsuit >quoted paragraph doesn't even identify the plaintiff
Ryder Flores
By the gods I hope not. Let the courts handle it, they are much more competent.
