I think this belies an underlying hypocrisy that conservatives love to participate in - the hypocrisy of holding your opponent to an impossible standard that you refuse to hold yourself to. Like when that comedian made a joke about Sarah Huckabee Sanders' eye makeup and the conservative media cycle lost their fucking minds about how awful it was to insult a woman for her looks. Meanwhile Trump gets up in front of cameras every single day calling people insulting nicknames, mocking their speech, routinely referring to women as pigs and conservatives defend him to their dying breath. Fuck unity. There is no level of acceptable behavior that conservatives will accept from anybody on the left because their goal is not moral or logical consistency of any kind. They want to be angry at liberals and when they don't have legitimate reasons its standard practice to make reasons up. I don't see anything immoral or inconsistent about treating Rush Limbaugh with the same empathy, consideration and compassion he treated the world with.
