Suckin is generally frowned on. Mostly just keep it to yourself. If I were short (not long left), I would be very careful about my actions. A lot of people have been in for 20+ years and it's not worth the risk of adding another few years to your time when there are only 2-3 left. You are not stuck with a cellie just because they were assigned to your room. Talk to your counselor or mental health worker. There are options.

Generally inmate on inmate crime doesn't result in new charges, expect for murder. But theft, assault, shit like that is handled by in facility disciplinary action (loss of phone privileges, loss of commissary, ad seg...etc.)
