>There is a group of people in india who identify themselves as Indo-Anglicans and unlike Anglo-Indians these people are full blooded indians and yet they can't even speak a single indian language, they speak only English as their mother tongue and they behave , live like English colonials
Do people with such mental illness exist in your country ?

lmao

This is the future we chose. We should’ve split on state identity but now everybody is forced to speak English because Jaspreet from Punjab can’t speak Marathi, Ramalingam from Tamil Nadu can’t speak Punjabi, and Gowalkar from Maharashtra cannot speak Tamil. They all are forced to speak in English.

so true. my mom is tamil and my dad is from awadh. i only know broken tamil and hindi/awadhi lol. they speak to each other in english

My mom is Bengali and dad is Punjabi but I only Hindi and English because I was taught both in school. Where tf did you grow up

I took hindi as L2 and fucked it in school. I barely passed in 10th grade with a CGPA of 6.5 in Hindi

>tfw mom and dad are both Bihari and I can speak Bhojpuri, English, and Hindi

feels good being /pure/.

Should have implemented 3 languages policy long ago
Unfortunately Gangu apes have doomed rest of India as usual

can you list the languages spoken in india and rate them from streetshitter to 10?

i didnt know india was this divided, i thought you all can speak hindi

Uooooooooouuuooh?

all dravidic languages (telugu, tamil, kannada etc):10>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>non-dravidic languages>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>h*ndi

Most of us can
Even Dravidians who move to North learn hindi
Unfortunately the upper class think speaking their mother tongue makes them less """ Civilised """ There are entire communities in south Mumbai, Delhi who literally pretend to be white people in every way
These people are rich so they're disconnected from the rest of their country

>most of us can
literally none of you in the south can. none of you. I tried to call up zomato in Chennai and he simply couldn’t speak in Hindi. I had to resort to English.

Even when I had to ask for ways to somewhere we had to use English .

the south wanted this. now we all speak English.

The sad bit is that the only alternative to a pan-Indian language other than English is a Turko-Persian creole. To bring Sanskrit back it would require a massive nationwide effort which is better invested into infrastructure and sanitation as of right now.

>hindi is a turko-persian creole
stfu. hindi is a language on its own u nigger. just because we use a few turkic, persian, and Arabic words cuz of influence doesn’t mean it’s a creole. then English is a French-German-Latin creole

>then English is a French-German-Latin creole
It is precisely that. That’s why English is a stupid language and has tons of inconsistencies especially in regards to phonetics.

>they can't even speak a single indian language
English is an Indian language.

I met one of those people here in Paris. He grew up in India and only spoke English, however it was his mother that taught him English so he really had a very strong accent. I'm certified C2 and I simply couldn't understand certain things he said.

Poor guy.

>a few
more like most. Most complex words in Hindi take Turkic/Arabic root.

Airplane? Jahaaz.
Vegetables? Sabzi.
Door? Darwaza.
Face? Shakal.
Book? Kitab.
Time? Waqt.
Love? Ishq/Mohabbat.
Friend? Yaar.
White? Safed.
Poor? Gharib.
Rich? Amir.
Building? Emirat.
World? Duniya.
Law? Kanoon.

These are like everyday words.

>inb4 he posts the Sanskrit equivalents
The Sanskrit equivalents are only used by autists. In reality, everybody in common speech uses these words. I’d wager around 30-40% of vocabulary in spoken hindi is foreign.

thats because lungicucks like you kneel the muslims so we gotta make the language muzzie friendly LMAO

Jesus Christ, how terrifying.
No, these people don't exist here, but you'll often see teens conversing in English, especially blue haired ones in Vilnius.

Hindi is a top-down agglomeration of Northern dialects/languages, right? Like what us Euros did with melting all the dialects into one "standard language". Or am I misunderstanding?

should've just made the national language sanskrit

>thats because lungicucks like you kneel the muslims so we gotta make the language muzzie friendly LMAO

I actually learned something new for a foreign country from a thread on Dab Forums.
It's a weird feeling.

What about your Russians? Do they speak Lithuanian?

Pick your threads better. There's plenty of interesting stuff here.

pretty much yeah. hindi was artificially constructed in late 16th-17th century by mughals. they threw in north indian grammar and added some arabic/persian words to it.
there is a standard euro language? what is it?

I'm Anglo-Indian

It's weird here. Young ones understand it, but 1st gen colonist boomers will only speak to you in Russian, even if they do understand Lithuanian. Then again, Lithuanians will often do the same to them.
