Anti-homeless harassment

>raising taxes
Alright fair dues on that one, I can see why someone would feel disenfranchised by that.
>Ban/restrict guns
Restrict maybe. The right has said "he's banning guns, he's gonna take them all away!" about the last what, 4 democrat presidents? Hasn't happened yet at least.

Are you retarded, or 12, or just not American? 2 of the last 4 democrats have signed major anti gun laws including an awb. LBJ signed the GCA of 1968 and said it didn't go far enough and wanted to ban handguns and create a national registry for confiscation. Bill Clinton signed the Brady Bill, an AWB, and banned importation of most semi auto rifles.

Shame shame shame

The ones that can get away do. The ones that don’t have the means stay. But letting them shit on the streets of SF with impunity is going too far, as is the lax drug and theft laws and prosecution.

This is actually somewhat of a reasonable post.
I like to see people actually discussing in good faith on this platform rather than that "I hate magats" retard who keeps replying to himself

I don't have any issue with sensible gun control because we've already gone past the point of our populace being able to hold back an oppressive government by force of arms.
At this point any forceful revolution would need to be with the military's cooperation.

But that's neither here nor there.

What's your opinion on the style of gun they keep trying to restrict?
Handguns result in far More deaths. And admittedly a rifle is better at actual combat than a handgun yet responsible for much less deaths in the US.

Why not further restrict hand guns instead?

All they really have to do is leave the city and get a job doing menial labor for $9hr in a place where that wage affords them a shitty apartment with a roommate. It's not impossible. Millions of Americans do just that. They enjoy having a stable environment, a purpose in life and forging interpersonal relationships.
They don't, not because there are no jobs, but because they're addicts and/or fucking insane. The homeless didn't end up with absolutely nothing and nobody who cares about them just from being "down on their luck". They burned every bridge they had over years. Guaranteed. Every time. We really need to bring back the asylum system, but make it cheap and not so inhumane this time.

Most states already do restrict handguns more than rifles and it hasn't done much. Have to be 21 vs 18 and must have a concealed carry license in most states. The problem is that most crime guns are stolen or straw-purchased and the cops don't do enough to get them off the streets.

Leave the current laws for handguns. Prosecute gang violence more aggressively. Give people paths out of the ghetto not just more gibs to keep them there.

>KY and MO both have better education systems than California
thats not saying much, just about anywhere has better anything than california unless those things are biggest statewide fires, highest homeless pop, or most illegals

>They don't, not because there are no jobs, but because they're addicts and/or fucking insane. The homeless didn't end up with absolutely nothing and nobody who cares about them just from being "down on their luck". They burned every bridge they had over years. Guaranteed. Every time.
This. Idk why we have to have sympathy for addicts who have zero interest in doing anything other than get high

A registration is only good for confiscation. An AWB doesn't address the majority of gun crime occuring with handguns. And AR-15's being in common use means that existing AWB's will not survive circuit or supreme court challenges. Forcing people to register "assault weapons" and "high capacity" magazines with a $200 tax for each (this gets left out whenever it's discussed) only discriminates against poor people and will be widely ignored.
